“American Tripps” SF’s most fun ping pong dance party celebrates its 1-year anniversary with a full night of dancing, drinking, running-around-the-table fun along with a time machine dance party with music from the 50s to today.

• FREE PBR from 5-6pm
• Time warpy stuff on the big screen
• Four ping pong tables
• Primo on the decks from 8-11pm
• Plenty of dance floor
• Food carts outside
• After party at Coffee Bar across the street

What Is Berlin-Style Ping Pong? Imagine 20+ people each with a paddle running around the table each taking turns hitting the ball. If you miss the ball or hit it into the net… you’re out! Then the game restarts with you on the sidelines ala musical chairs. It’s a super fun social version of the game that only gets hectic and competitive when it comes down to the final 3 or 4 people. Then the game restarts again

Starting with the raw r’n’b and rock ‘n’ roll of the 50’s and sixties moving through rare sixties soul and motown with a layover in psychedelic funk and the soulful sounds of ’72 before we board the disco train with a stop in the disco of italy and Europe for some sounds of the truly cosmic variety ultimately culminating in a crazy wall of chicago acid house and present day rave sounds.
