Two-night camping trip w/ food & fun for helping build trails
| Saturday, May 5 | ||
| Sunday, May 6 |
Enjoy a rewarding weekend and help build trails in an area not yet open to the public as part of a unique volunteer event: a two-night camping trip with free food and entertainment (plus a free t-shirt). In addition to helping build new trails and leaving a legacy for future generations, you might just have a lot of fun and meet new like-minded friends. Volunteers will construct a section of single-track on Valley Oak Trail and install trail drainage on the new Calaveras Trail. Volunteers will camp and have spectacular views of Coyote Lake. This is a unique volunteer event at Coyote Lake - Harvey Bear on May 5-6, 2007. For those of you that haven’t heard about this yet through the volunteer newsletter, word of mouth, or other means.
This event is a full weekend of trail building, fun, entertainment, free camping, and food! It is a great place to network and meet others with the same interests. We are seeking up to 200 volunteers to construct brand new trail and leave a legacy behind.
For all of our “Trail” enthusiastic volunteers, please note - They are in need of more Trail Crew Leaders to assist with the event in a leadership capacity. Please register for one of their upcoming Trail Crew Lead trainings. If you are currently a County Park Trail Crew Lead, you will need to complete the V-O-Cal TCL training to be able to assist in a leadership capacity that weekend. It is a great training and very fun too!
