Champagne Toast & Huge Terraced Patio w/ Make-out nooks @ Wild Side West (Bernal Heights)

Champagne toast at midnight at this cool and funky bohemian bar with a giant terraced back patio, but if you’re cold, there’s a warm fire inside. This is one of funcheap’s favorite dive bars in the city. They always have dirt cheap drinks, a couple of pinball machines, the aforementioned patrio with BBQs with lots of nooks and crannies and make out corners. Check out the yelp reviews of Wild Side West and you’ll see why we like this place so much.
Though primarily considered a lesbian bar, Wild Side West is in our opinion one of the best bars in the city and as long as you’re cool and mellow, it seems to welcome and accept all types, straight/gay/lesbian/whatever. Almost everytime i’ve been to the bar, there’s been someone having a party who has welcomed us to join and share in with their food, or there’s been a giant singalong where everyone has brought their instruments. It’s a very welcoming place.
