Anne Bluethenthal & Dancers present The World Premiere of - Cariño: Economy of the Heart, a unique woman-centered dance ensemble. Anne Bluethenthal has been making dance works in the Bay Area for over 25 years and always makes artistic and political thought-provoking new dance works. Painting and music feature prominently in this new work. Singers & musicians participating include gospel virtuoso Melanie DeMore, Mexican-American funk singer Mama CoAtl, and the sensual music of Ajayi Lumumba. In addition, the evening features performances by Oasis for Girls in the lobby of Artaud at 7:40 pm. Normally $25, 3/21 and 3/27 are Pay-what-you-can nights
