Join us in celebrating the launch of a new initiative to reduce waste generated at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market. During the entire Saturday market, enjoy the following activities: Reusable bag giveaway (bring local ID), learn about what happens to food scraps, The Reclaim Game - Test your recycling and composting knowledge with a fun interactive game. The Maker Faire - A special table in the market will showcase local craftspeople making things with recycled and reclaimed materials and other green projects, plus The Story of Stuff film (pictured) and recycled art slideshow, cooking demonstrations and the “Bag” Parade
