The Larry Vuckovich Quartet (Yerba Buena Gardens Festival - SOMA)

Friday, May 9
12:30 pm

Internationally-acclaimed jazz pianist Larry Vuckovich performs music from his upcoming CD, High Wall: Real Life Film Noir, a sequel to his highly successful current CD, Street Scene, which placed #1 on XM Satellite Radio for six weeks. He will be joined by East Coast drummer Chuck McPherson and Latin percussionist Hector Lugo, who both appear on his new High Wall CD. Rounding out the quartet is the hard-swinging Belgrade-born bassist Buca Necak. Larry weaves in an exciting mix of Afro-Cuban, Latin/Brazilian/tango/Roma (gypsy), world music, as well as funk and hard-swinging jazz.
