KFOG KaBoom: Los Lobos, Collective Soul & Huge Fireworks display @ Pier 30/32 (SOMA)

Saturday, May 10
4:00 pmto10:00 pm

Over 30,000 are expected for this annual music festival and fireworks show which takes place at Pier 30/32 (just south of the Bay Bridge). The 2008 ‘KFOG KaBoom!’ features live music from legendary East LA rockers Los Lobos, the bittersweet but groovy post-grunge rockers Collective Soul, and impressive 12-string guitar player and pop songwriter Matt Nathanson. There’s lots of food & drink stalls, and tons of events for families. It’s all capped off at 9pm with the state’s biggest fireworks display over the SF Bay exploding synchronized to music broadcast on KFOG (104.5 FM), so bring a radio. Is seven-and-a-half tons of explosives enough for you?

Gates open at 4pm,
4:30-5:05pm Matt Nathanson
5:40-6:30pm Collective Soul
7:20-8:50pm Los Lobos
fireworks at 9p

Ticket holders will have exclusive access to Piers 30-32 and the KFOG KaBoom Stage area. Tickets are $15 in advance (plus service and delivery charges through Ticketmaster.com) and $20 at the gate.

If live music and festivals aren’t your thing, you can also see the fireworks for free from most locations in SOMA and along the embarcadero.
