Cultural Encounters: Friday Nights at the de Young celebrates poetry in the American galleries; Doubles and Quadruples: A night of performance and music in the spirit of Gilbert & George Fauxnique and friends perform a reprise of Lip-Synching Sculpture; plus live music by electronic duo Land Sound. (events listed are in the public areas and are free, but if you want to visit the museum galleries there is still the normal admission free)
