Celebration of the Peninsula’s Diversity: Immigrants Day Festival - Discover the traditions immigrant groups have brought to the area during a Celebration of the Peninsula’s Diversity: Immigrant Day Festival. The festival features food, craft activities for families and music and dance performances by Chinese, Filipino, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Mexican and Portuguese groups. The event highlights the History Museum’s exhibit, Land of Opportunity: The Immigrant Experience in San Mateo County.
12 p.m. San Mateo Buddhist Temple Taiko - Japanese Music
12:30 p.m. Casa de la Cultura Quetzalcoatl - Aztec Dancers
1 p.m. Trio Amore - Italian Music
1:30 p.m. Far East Lion Dance Association - Chinese Dancers
2 p.m. Ramana Vieira - Portuguese Singer
2:30 p.m. Murphy Irish Dancers - Irish Dancers
3 p.m. Hiyas Philippine Folk Dance Company - Filipino Dancers

Food tastings available in the History Museum’s Upper Rotunda from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. (festival is free but $5 for food tasting card)
