2008 Union Street Eco-Urban Street Festival (Cow Hollow)

In its 32nd year, The Union Street Festival is one of San Francisco’s largest annual free events, and this year it’s going Green. The festival (generally in the past known as a big drunk-fest) attracts in excess of 100,000 attendees each year from all over the United States is adding an eco-friendly theme. This year the east entrance of the festival, (beginning at Gough Street) will feature an organic farmer’s market, arts and crafts created with recycled and sustainable materials and eco-friendly exhibits. Additionally, the Festival showcases 150 arts & crafts booths, 20 gourmet food booths, two stages of live entertainment and bistro style cafes.

The Festival is held on San Francisco’s fashionable Union Street where historic Victorians have been transformed into popular boutiques, art galleries and restaurants. There are over 100 staff members on-site to assist exhibitors and the public. Parking is available to exhibitors three blocks from the event site.
