Novato’s 16th Annual Fourth of July Parade 2008

Friday, July 4
10:00 am

In sixteen years, Novato has grown from being a small local parade to what is now the second-largest parade in the North Bay. The parade route runs east to west on the newly renovated Grant Avenue, beginning at Reichert Avenue and ending at 7th Street. We begin promptly at 10am; the last unit is usually through by noon. Every year we host fifteen to twenty thousand spectators and over 100 entries, ranging from classic cars to vehicles from a military museum, Irish bagpipers to Chinese drum and bell corps, basset hounds to horses. Along the parade route, you will also find food and refreshment booths, and souvenir t-shirts. The family-friendly movie of The Astronaut Farmer will be shown outdoors Old Town Novato at dusk.
