Picnic in the Park & Fireworks - July 4. 2008, 12 noon-7 p.m. This event is a wonderful way to spend the 4th of July. Benicia’s City Park is filled with arts and crafts, delicious hot food, live entertainment, and children’s activities. Fireworks start shortly after 9 p.m. at the foot of First Street making this a great event for the whole family.
On July 4th enjoy Picnic In The Park starting at Noon and located at the Benicia City Park on First Street and Military. There are many fun activities for kids including inflatable rides, rock climbing, and face painting. Visit the open-air market, taste American cuisine, and enjoy live entertainment including bands and dancers. The free fireworks show begins around 9 p.m. and takes place at the foot of First Street. Bring a blanket and enjoy the view from the First Street Green at the waterfront.
