Two daytime events celebrating the birthday of the Presidio

Friday June 27, 11am-Noon
Pershing Square Flag Pole (across from Presidio Officers’ Club)
San Francisco’s “Birthday” - Join Early California descendents (Los Californianos) to celebrate the “birthday” of San Francisco. Descendents will honor their ancestors and the founding of the Presidio of San Francisco at the flag pole with a ceremony and costumed horse riders.

Friday June 27, Noon-3 pm
Presidio Officers’ Club, 50 Moraga Avenue
Kids, Explore the customs of the California Indians of San Francisco Bay through stories, song, and activities. Experience early California rancho life with adobe brick making and crafts from the period. See ceremonial horses and costumed riders of the Amigos de Anza and help groom a Spanish horse. Throughout the day enjoy Ohlone songs, early California music and dance, living history, and get a taste of Californio cooking. Indoor and outdoor events.
