The Fillmore Project: Community Forum Day and Celebration (Western Addition)

The Fillmore Project will, through historical research, culminate in a dance-theater production celebrating the neighborhood’s vibrant culture. This celebration includes a slideshow of photographs by David Johnson, famous for documenting the ‘Mo in the jazz days of the ’40s and ’50s, plus an interview with sax master Jules Broussard (pictured), and a live set by Howard Wiley and the Angola Project.
