“Tour de Fat” all-day wacky bicycle and beer festival (Golden Gate Park)

Saturday, July 19
9:00 amto4:00 pm

Join the ballyhoo of bikes and beer when the New Belgian Ale “Tour de Fat” rolls into town Saturday, July 19th at Speedway Meadow in Golden Gate Park. A bike and music festival and fundraiser for two great nonprofits: the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition and the Bay Area Ridge Trails Council. Bike parade from 10am to 11:30am and then the festival begins with the annual slow ride competition, followed by The Sprockettes (Portland’s original minibike dance troupe), live bands, a “carpocalypse” event with a funeral procession and acrobats perform at 2pm. Be warned that food has run out early in the past and if you’re a meat eater you’re probably out of luck so bring your own vittles.

Cost: FREE
