Mezzanine, one of our favorite live music venues in the city, hosts an evening with synthpop / new wave legends The Human League. As one of the seminal 80s pop bands, The Human League cultivated a stylish new romantic look as darlings of the fledgling MTV. The Sheffield U.K. band, led by singer Philip Oakey and flanked by sexy singers, cranked out huge catchy hits throughout the 80s with “Don’t You Want Me,” “(Keep Feeling) Fascination” “Love Action,” “Mirror Man” and their number one U.S. hit, the ballad “Human.” Opening are new wave popstars Naked Eyes who had a pair of hugely successful and iconically 80s singles, “Always Something There to Remind Me” and “Promises Promises.”
