TripAdvisor Film Festival: Planes Trains & Automobiles (1987) in Union Square

TripAdvisor (a website that offers honest reader reviews and recommendations for hotels, resorts, inns) invites you to attend our free outdoor film festival, the TripAdvisor Traveling Movie Tour, on Tuesday, August 19th and Wednesday, August 20th at Union Square, featuring: Roman Holiday (1953) Audrey Hepburn, Gregory Peck on August 19th and Planes, Trains and Automobiles (1987) John Candy, Steve Martin on August 20th. Doors open at 6:00 pm and the movies begin at sundown. Everyone who attends is encouraged to bring a bag for donation to foster children in Southern California through our charity partner, Suitcases For Kids. You can also enter a raffle to win a “Roman Holiday” here.

Every traveler’s nightmare becomes real in this road trip comedy. All Neal Page (Steve Martin) wants to do is get home for the Thanksgiving holiday. But his road home is filled with u-turns and pitfalls. When Neal is befriended by loud and annoying Del Griffith (John Candy) things go from bad to worse.
