In a first-time collaboration, the African American Museum and Library at Oakland (AAMLO) and the San Francisco Center for the Book (SFCB) are presenting an exhibit, curated by Hanna Regev, which features work from more than 50 artists working in a variety of media. Participating artists interpret a censored text of their choice. The project provides a unique forum for visual artists to respond to the suppression of literary art. Reception September 5th at 6:30pm.
