Grind for the Green (G4G) and the 2008 Yerba Buena Gardens Festival present San Francisco’s First Solar Powered Hip-Hop Concert.
Featuring Performances By: * Raashan Ahmad of Crown City Rockers, * Fiyawata, * Jahi, * Queen Deelah, * Trunk Boiz, * True Skool’s DJ Ren This unprecedented event will feature the Solar Living Institute’s bio-diesel truck with a solar generation system to power the event. The, concert will integrate established artists, community leaders, youth and their families under the banner of sustainability and environmental justice.
G4G is an annual summer eco-music festival produced by and for youth in a framework and applied learning environment where youth build business acumen and technical skills. The programs including artist development workshops, jobs, internships and educational opportunities rooted in an environmental justice framework.
