The 7th Annual Orion Children’s Authors and Illustrators Festival takes place Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, 10 am -3:30 pm, at Orion Elementary School in Redwood City. Bring your children to this free event and meet some of the Bay Area’s (and nation’s) best loved authors and illustrators. This is a wonderful, magical event that celebrates a love of reading and the power of pictures and the written word. Featured authors/illustrators are: NY Times best-selling author Annie Barrows; Cynthia Chin-Lee; Maya Christina Gonzalez; Newbery Honor winner Jennifer Holm; Dave Keane; Elisa Kleven; Jim LaMarche; and Kathryn Otoshi. Come hear their presentations throughout the day and get your books autographed. Food and books available for purchase. Spanish language translation and American Sign Language interpretation onsite.
