San Francisco 2012 Chanukah Festival: 25-Foot-Tall Menorah | Union Square

Celebrate Chanukah 2012 with the 38th annual lighting of the 25 foot tall mahogany Bill Graham Menorah in Union Square.

Lighting ceremonies take place from December 8-15, 2012 at approximately 5pm on most days (Fridays are at 3pm and Saturdays at 7pm). This San Francisco tradition was the brainchild of rock and roll concert promoter Bill Graham begun in 1975.

In addition to the lighting ceremony in Union Square at 7pm – there’s also a final day celebration at the Westfield San Francisco Centre from 6:30pm to 7:30pm featuring another lighting (though not 25 foot tall) plus traditional Chanukah treats, arts n’ crafts and festive music.
