2019 Obon Festival & Bazaar: Bon Odori, Taiko & Exhibits | Mountain View
The Mountain View Buddhist Temple celebrates its annual Obon Festival, a mid-summer Buddhist holiday, on Saturday, July 20, 2019 4 pm to 10 pm and Sunday, July 21, 2019 noon to 9 pm.
On Saturday, there will be a “Maui Bon Dance” performance at 8 pm. The highlight for many is the “Bon Odori”, the festive communal Japanese dancing with its hundreds of participants starting at 7 pm on Sunday.
Festival guests will have a perfect opportunity to taste delicious Japanese and American food.
The entire weekend of festivities, including free onsite parking, takes place on the expansive temple grounds located at 575 N. Shoreline Blvd., across from the Bailey Park Shopping Center, between W. Middlefield Rd. and Central Expressway.
