The Friends of Larsen Playground are holding a Soapbox Derby & Block Party on Sunday, November 18, 2012, 11am to 3pm, along 20th Avenue between Wawona and Vicente Street.

Watch home-made derby cars race down the 400 foot straightaway.

Attractions include the SF Zoomobile, Jump House, crafts and more. This event kicks off the Friends of Larsen Playground fundraising campaign to renovate Larsen Playground. Build a derby car, buy a Larsen Jet t-shirt, or just come by to find out how you can be part of creating a new park in the city.
