On August 8, 2014 check out art openings at:

  • Jingletown Art Studios (3001 Chapman St, Oakland) – featuring six artists, each with their very own unique style and technique, from pen and ink to analog collage. Music by Ant’lrd. Food and drinks available.
  • Redux (2315 Lincoln Ave, Alameda) – solo show by Oakland artist Lauren Napolitano. Intricate patterning and line work intersect with discarded photos, books, and objects. Food and drinks available.
  • Rudy’s Tumbling Pop-Up Gallery (2333 Clement St, Alameda) – Kids Art Works
  • Gary Francis Fine Art (1419 E Park Ave, Alameda) This group exhibition of Bay Area photographers investigates themes that explore basic and complex images of mundane objects; inner feeling states and personal dialogs with self; the unique forms and shapes created by the interplay between natural elements and man-made structures; and everyday scenes and distinctive portraits of life in the Bay Area. The fine art photographers throw the spotlight on our daily experiences that are often omnipresent, necessary, and overlooked. Through their ongoing exploration, surprising and creative images are made conscious, allowing the artist and viewer to be more connected to the richness of life, experience and surroundings.
