San Francisco’s Bayview Neighborhood comes alive for 3rd on Third, a community-wide arts celebration for the whole family happening from 5-8 pm every third Friday of the month, at Bayview Town Center (Mendell Plaza at 3rd Street & Oakdale Ave).
The monthly event features pop-up galleries, pop-up attractions, local food vendors, a beer and wine garden, a special children’s zone with free art-making activities, and a stage featuring talent from Bayview and beyond.
3rd on Third celebrates Mardi Gras and Black History Month with three blocks of fun for the whole family in Downtown Bayview around the Bayview Opera House on February 20, 2015.
Free, but an RSVP is requested.
Festivities include:
- MJ’s Brass Boppers and Steppers Parade
- Prescott Family Circus Stilt Walkers
- Arts activities: Mask and Crown making & Float Building
- $5 Food Specials by Local vVendors
- Craft Vendors & Info Tables
- Art Exhibit at Radio Africa & Kitchen
- 5 pm: Performance by SF Jazz Ensemble
- Trolley Float with Free Rides
