Kick off your Independence Day weekend with this unique musical celebration.

Founded in 1882, the Golden Gate Park Band is considered a “historic treasure” of San Francisco, having performed free concerts for the citizens of San Francisco for 133 years. Their Sunday afternoon concerts at the bandshell in Golden Gate Park embrace a wide variety of music, from classical and opera to Broadway and pop.

This special program features patriotic music by American composers and includes commentary by Michael L. Wirgler, who has been associated with the GGPB for more than 40 years, first as a member of the band and then as conductor since 1999.

This event is free but due to space constraints registration is required. Please complete the registration process below. Please note that registering does not guarantee admission. Registered guests will be offered priority admission that will be honored until 15 minutes before the start of the event.
