9/11 Service Week: Volunteer with HandsOn Bay Area

These are moving and meaningful ways to commemorate 9/11, doing something for our veterans while enjoying the company of other big-hearted volunteers. HOBA has partnered with three Bay Area veterans organizations to support their on-going work in providing such services as permanent and transitional housing, legal aid, and job training. On this anniversary, volunteers will unite in service in the same remarkable way that so many came together following the attacks.

During three featured September 11th-related events, volunteers will work side-by-side with veterans in painting, gardening, building, and cooking. There will be free refreshments following the service activities.

Volunteer Fees Waved the week of 9/11
HandsOn Bay Area is Partnering with three Veterans-Service Organizations to Paint, Spruce up, and Decorate Their Facilities. The typical one time cost for access to all of HandsOn Bay Area’s volunteer events of $25 is permanently waived for the 9/11 week of service volunteers.
