Activist, academic and author of Stuffed and Starved, The Value of Nothing, Raj Patel will be in conversation with Rose Aguilar, host of “Your Call” on KALW 91.7 FM at this special Commonwealth Club which explores why half the world is malnourished and the other half obese.

Patel conducts a global investigation to make sense of the world food crisis and charges that “the food system is filled with choices made by a handful of powerful people, in smoke-filled rooms, over the objections of the majority.”
