15th Annual Choo Choo & Brew: Superhero Pub Crawl | Peninsula

It’s a bird… it’s a plane… it’s the 15th Annual Choo Choo & Brew, the Peninsula’s popular pub crawl that lets you support public transportation for a day and your local bar from 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday, August 2, 2014.

The 2014 theme is Superheroes. Are you ready to fight crime and have a good time? Do you have what it takes to be a superhero? Put on your cape and help save the day with a drink in hand.

How It Works

They start in Palo Alto at Rose & Crown English Food & Ale House, with just enough time for a beer before they catch the first train ride to the second stop. They’ll provide a schedule outlining the arrival and departure times for each of the stops. You can come for the whole crawl or just a portion. Just follow the schedule to know where and when to find them.

Caltrain Tickets

For all stops, you’ll want to get a pass between Zones 2 & 3. A 2-zone day pass can be purchased for $10.00 and is honored for unlimited travel within zone limits. It’s valid for use through the last train on the service day on which it’s sold. Please note, all tickets must be purchased before boarding the train.

Tips for a Fun and Safe Crawl

• Drive, Uber, taxi, bus, carpool, etc. to  to the first stop, Palo Alto, or to your nearest Caltrain station. Then take the train to the first stop, Palo Alto, to meet at Rose & Crown. At the end of the night, take the train back to your starting destination.
• Almost every establishment that they stop at serves food, so please eat, so you don’t get too sloshed.
• Be careful crossing busy streets (especially El Camino Real)
• If you miss a train, don’t panic; catch up with the group at the next stop.
