Stroll along the mile-long Stream Trail of Redwood Regional Park in Oakland at the family, bicycle and dog friendly Annual Art In Nature: The Natural Of Art Festival on September 23, 2012.
Experience art in nature and discover more than 200 artists and performers tucked among the meadows, redwoods and oaks. 12 Theme Areas feature music, dance, sculpture, painting, martial arts, poetry, henna tattoo, circus arts, theater, visual arts, storytelling, arts & crafts and kids events. This participatory free festival is the closest thing to Burning Man you’ll get in the Bay Area.
Bring a picnic lunch as there are no food vendors on site.
The festival is free, but parking in the Redwood Regional Park lot is $5. If you find street parking it’s free, or you can park at the nearby Merritt College and take a $5 shuttle to get to the site and you can buy your shuttle tickets in advance. You can always choose to hike in for free.
