21st Annual Penny Parade & Costume Party | Haight

Join the 21st Annual Penny Parade & Autumnal Extravaganza by throwing your money away in this beloved autumnal ritual of abundance on November 18, 2012 at 2:30 pm sharp.

Dress in copper, autumnal, monetary or splendid attire, bring your penny jar and “spare change” the passers-by (offering, not asking of course), give people a penny for their thoughts, dance down Haight Street singing “Pennies From Heaven” while tossing away copious copper coinage, bringing good luck to hundreds who will find our lucky pennies left behind.

Afterwards you can use your leftover pennies on the Golden Gate Park carousel or a bar if you’re old enough. Rain or shine.
