Event Details

Pleasanton Cultural Arts Council will host a Chalk and Arts Festival where artists of all ages and ability will have the opportunity to display their talents with chalk designs on the streets of downtown Pleasanton on Saturday, May 9, 2015.

2014 special events include:

Pianos on Main Street: Talented pianists will be playing these pianos on the day of The Big Draw on May 9th and throughout the week. So come hear them play or sit down and give us a concert. We’d love to hear you!

Poetry Chairs: Chairs will be created in a partnership between local poets and artists, including this year’s Pleasanton Adult and Teen Poet Laureates. All chairs will be available for purchase through silent auction the day of The Big Draw, with proceeds going to Arts in the Schools and other participating groups.

Artful Bouquets at the Harrington Art Gallery: Floral artists will be creating their interpretation of several works that will be on display at the gallery as part of the Fresh Works Exhibit. So come and see how a floral designer can create a work out of flowers and greenery to go with a painting called “Squirrels Like to Sleep” and other works of art.
