Event Details

Known as the ‘Official Scripps National Spelling Bee Watch Party for Adults,’ Spellapalooza invites guests to cheer on the foremost elementary and middle school spellers in the country live on ESPN.

Free, but an RSVP is required.

Watchers are encouraged to place predictions on which child might win and to take drinks in honor of those who fail. After a winner is declared and the finals are over, guests are able to compete in a “grown-up” spelling bee where judges can be bribed for tips and second chances. The champion(s) receive a stunning award and unfathomable glory while judges turn over all the bribes to Traveling Stories for the benefit of young readers across the planet.

100% of the proceeds benefit Traveling Stories – an organization that is dedicated to outsmarting poverty one book at a time and growing a world of readers.
