All Abbots Bromley and traditional English dance enthusiasts are invited to join the California Revels in a day of good music, dancing and the largest celebration ever of the Abbots Bromley antler dance, The Abbots Bromliad.
Every September, the dancers in Abbots Bromley, England take up the traditional horns for a legendary trek of dancing through the town and countryside. California Revels celebrates the festivities on Labor Day.
Come together for a day of picnicking, dancing and music which will culminate in the third annual Bromliad – a mass dance of the Abbots Bromley antler dance. No experience required. Bring a blanket, your own picnic, and anything you would like to add to the festivities. Costumes, antlers, hobby horses, parasols, toy archery bows, fool hats, musical instruments and silliness are all encouraged.
