Event Details

This book documents the life and work of Emma Bormann (1887-1974), a remarkable painter and woodcut artist of the 20th century who traveled widely through Europe, China, Japan, and the United States. This stunning retrospective, researched over a period of six years by Bormann’s grandson, Andreas Johns, and brought to life by local book designer Rob Hugel, spans a lifetime of Bormann’s work in one definitive volume. Both Johns’ and Hugel will present on Bormann’s artistic life, as well as on the collaborative book-designing process.
