Event Details

Here are highlights of the program, packed with local artists and arts organizations:

  • Cast members from this fall’s CCCT production will sing a medley of beloved songs from the classic Lerner and Loewe musical.
  • Ah-Lan teaches Chinese dance, ballet, and modern dance in El Cerrito and Albany. Her students will present an exciting dance and arts performance in a variety of cultural forms.
  • Infectious original dance music with a unique Afro-Venezuelan beat with Guarandinga.
  • El Cerrito’s new Poet Laureate Maw Shein Win will read from her new chapbook, Score and one, with musical accompaniment by jazz saxophonist Dan Plonsey.
  • Actor George McRae will do a staged reading of Edgar Allan Poe’s classic story “The Tell-Tale Heart.
  • Artist Nga Trinh will offer a fun origami workshop – learn how to fold a Samuari Hat, a Glider, a Fan, and more, from recycled paper.
