Event Details

Join them at The Patio in Palo Alto for the second addition of Astronomy on Tap: Bay Area. They’re going to feature accessible talks from three students and scientists and Stanford and NASA.

Devon Powell will talk to you about the marriage of astrophysics and computing, and Dr. Mehmet Alpaslan will be discussing unraveling the cosmic web. To top it off, Dr. Yashar Hezavehe will discuss his work using one of the universe’s most exotic objects, gravitational lenses, to study dark matter.

They’ll also feature their normal Astronomy in the News segment, along with their normal array of scientists getting tipsy and chatting about space.
