Event Details

For the ninth consecutive year, the Aurora Mandolin Orchestra will bring their magic to the Library. Their unique sound derives from a string heavy combination of mandolin, mandola, mandocello, guitar, accordion, bass, and percussion.

The Orchestra performs creative arrangements of folk music, semi-classical Italian, Spanish, Russian songs, popular “oldies”, contemporary pieces (some taken from familiar musicals), excerpts from operas, and classical orchestra compositions written specifically for mandolin. Aurora favorite, soprano Susanna Uher Jimenez will also sing.
