Awesöme Orchestra | Epic Free Classical Concerts

Awesöme Orchestra brings people together for musical adventures. Their free sessions are part performance, part open rehearsal. They provide the sheet music, and anyone is welcome to play or to listen.

The Awesöme Orchestra Collective is the Bay Area’s most adventurous reading orchestra, dedicated to playing excellent orchestral music of all kinds with amazing musicians in a fun, casual environment focused on high musicianship. Their events are always free, but they ask for a pay-what-you-will donation to help cover basic costs.

Join Awesöme Orchestra during Oakland Art Murmur’s First Friday at Brooklyn Preserve. Bringing people together for musical adventures, their free Sessions are part performance, part open rehearsal. They provide the sheet music, and anyone is welcome to play or to listen.

Please note the date change from April 7 to May 5th due to rain in April.

7:00PM – Aaron Copland – “Hoe-Down” from Rodeo (full orchestra)
8:00PM – Alex Van Gils – The Permanent (full orchestra)
9:00-10:00pm – Harry Nilsson – “Salmon Falls” from Duit on Mon Dei (arr. by Perry Botkin)
