Awesöme Orchestra | Epic Free Classical Concerts

Awesöme Orchestra brings people together for musical adventures. Their free sessions are part performance, part open rehearsal. They provide the sheet music, and anyone is welcome to play or to listen.

The Awesöme Orchestra Collective is the Bay Area’s most adventurous reading orchestra, dedicated to playing excellent orchestral music of all kinds with amazing musicians in a fun, casual environment focused on high musicianship. Their events are always free, but they ask for a pay-what-you-will donation to help cover basic costs.

Bring friends and come to listen to Awesöme Orchestra’s Session 23: A Song of Ice and Mahler at Berkeley’s Firehouse Art Hangar from noon to 3 pm on Sunday, August 3, 2014.

Repertoire for August 3, 2014:

  • Ramin Djawadi – A Game of Thrones (main theme) (arr. for full orchestra)
  • Keane Southard – No Interior do Rio de Janeiro (premiere reading)
  • Gustav Mahler – Symphony No. 1 (movements 1, 2, and 3)
