Events at Omnivore Books On Food

Omnivore Books on Food is a teeny Noe Valley bookstore, their shelves packed floor to ceiling with hundreds of new, antiquarian, and collectible titles, on all manner of food and cooking.

The store hosts frequent events including book signings, chef talks, author readings, cooking contests, and food and drink tastings.

Michael Kalanty is an artisan breadbaker and writer. For over twenty years, he has taught professional baking to hundreds of successful students and authored curricula for culinary schools around the world.

He is certified as an Executive Pasty Chef, Culinary Educator, and Master Taster. His ground-breaking first book won Best Baking Book at 2009’s Paris Gourmand Cookbook Awards.
