2017 Bay Area Dance Week | April 21 – April 30
Capoeira is an African-Brazilian ritualized way of combat, it’s a self-defense disguised as a dance. This class, led by Mestre Urubu Malandro of Capoeira Ijexá, will explore movements of capoeira along with other traditional Afro-Brazilian dances of maculelê and dança guerreira.
Please arrive 5 minutes early to check in and wear comfortable clothes. Class is done barefoot or with socks.
