2013 Bay Area Dance Week | April 26 – May 5
The 15th annual Bay Area National Dance Week runs Friday, April 26 – Sunday, May 5, 2013.
The annual 10-day festival features over 600 free events throughout the Bay Area. Take dance classes and watch free performances in a wide range of styles including tango, Bharatnatyam, jazz, hip hop, ballet, traditional hula, fire dance, Samba, modern, Chinese classical, belly, aerial, Scottish country, West African, contact improvisation, and many more.

Celebrate the end of Bay Area Dance Week by joining the world-renowned performer and choreographer Anna Halprin and the Bay Area Community of Planetary Dancers in a powerful dance for peace among people and peace with the Earth on Sunday, May 5, 2013 from 2-3pm.
People of all ages and all abilities are invited to participate in this simple circle dance guided by rhythmic drumming. Participants enter the circle by declaring their commitment to promoting peace.
