Art in Science: Intersection of Image and Research | BerkeleyCreated by the Bay Area’s scientific, cultural, and educational institutions, the Bay Area Science Festival returns with a 10-day festival, scheduled October 24 – November 2, 2013.

The festival provides a wide range of science & technology activities – lectures, debates, exhibitions, concerts, plays, workshops and more at a locations throughout the Bay Area.

Expect similar events in 2013, including the return of Discovery Days in Santa Rosa, Hayward, and San Francisco.

Art in Science: Intersection of Image and Research | BerkeleyWhen the realms of art and science intersect, what will emerge?

View original, stunning and astonishing images of scientific investigation, and meet the scientists who created them. Spanning two spacious gallery rooms, the wonders of research and discovery are presented through photography, video, painting, sculpture, conversation and demonstration.

Practice the art of folding with origami master/environmental scientist Bernie Peyton; attend a panel discussion for insights into personal journeys through art and science. And more.

Refreshments will be served.
