Event Details

What is happening with the bees of San Francisco? This talk by Dr. Gretchen LeBuhn discusses what we know and don’t know about the pollinators of our city. There are over a hundred native species found in the city that pollinate our gardens and wildflowers. Dr. LeBuhn will update us on the current research, talk about how gardens can support pollinators, and let you know how to help.

Dr. Gretchen LeBuhn is a professor of biology at San Francisco State University and the director of the Great Sunflower Project, a citizen science project helping pollinators. She has authored three books on pollinators, most recently The Bee Friendly Garden with Kate Frey.

Free but an RSVP is required.
