Celebrate the “State of the Queer Nation” at Big Idea Night, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts’ (YBCA) free party with live music, DJs, burlesque, a queer activist fair, short films and tasty food samples on Saturday November 14th from 9pm to 2am.
- Party with performance artist Tim Miller; DJ Black and Crew; Oaktown’s Hottub; and Diamond Daggers, Queer burlesque troupe. Plus a queer activist fair.
- Experience YBCA visual art exhibitions, and short films in the Screening Room all night long
- Enjoy delectable edibles from Orson/Citizen Cake’s Elizabeth Falkner (Top Chef, Iron Chef America) and partner/co-owner, Sabrina Riddle; and cheap drinks all night.
Arrive early at 7pm for pre-event: the “Soapbox Social” where queer luminaries will each deliver a five-minute State of the Union address followed by cocktails and conversation. Also free, but separate RSVP required.
