Wild Oakland Walks

Meet up with fellow birdwatchers for Wild Oakland’s walk at Lake Merritt in Oakland.

Come see what’s flying in for the winter, learn how to identify them, and hear about how the nation’s first wildlife refuge continues to provide habitat for thousands of birds. Join in the search for Hank the Pelican, Lake Merritt’s unofficial mascot, an injured bird who lives on the lake year round.

All levels of bird nerds welcome. Some binoculars provided.

Free, but an RSVP is required. RSVP to: info@WildOakland.org

Disclaimer: Please double check event information with the event organizer as events can be canceled, details can change after they are added to our calendar, and errors do occur.
