Free April Fools Prank Delivery & Cookie Gram | SF

Sweetness, a local gift delivery startup, is turning a little bitter on April Fools Day 2015. For a limited time, SF residents can send a personalized, hand-delivered prank, plus a free cookie-gram to a friend or loved one absolutely free.

Orders have to be in by mid-day 3/31 for 4/1 delivery (although they will still do deliveries on 4/2 for late orders or in cases when recipients are unavailable to take a delivery on 4/1).

Basically, they want to make it easy for folks in SF to play a prank on a loved one like tricking them into thinking they’ve won a trip to Hawaii or tickets to Giants opening day.

Here’s how it works:

1. Just download the Sweetness app
2. Pick a prank from the inventory screen
3. Enter in the recipient’s email address
4. Checkout (usually they charge for gifts but the pranks are all free)
5. Record a video greeting card through the app

After you do the above, they will do the following:

1. Email the recipient saying “Your friend has sent you a gift” with a form that lets them setup their “gift” delivery (address and date/time)
2. They’ll photoshop the prank ticket reservation with the sender’s info on it and package it in one of their gift boxes along with a Chocolate Chunk Cookie-gram
3. They send their delivery person to make the delivery to the recipient
4. With the prank ticket/reservation, there’s a link to watch the video greeting message

Please Note: Sweetness is a pretty established startup, but we still have no idea if this is fun or plain evil. That being said, if you’re mean enough to want to pull a prank like this, we wanted to pass this opportunity along.
