Event Details

To launch National Bike Month, the East Bay Bicycle Coalition will host its annual Blessing of the Bikes event on Saturday, May 13, 2017.

Bring your bike to be blessed by interfaith clergy and spiritual teachers. Bay Area cyclists of all faith traditions and spiritual paths are invited — agnostics and atheists are welcome. Bike bells and cameras are encouraged.

This will be followed by a celebratory, flat and easy-paced family bike ride to the Berkeley Farmer’s Market. There will be a second bicycle blessing at Berkeley Civic Center Farmers Market after ride. Join them for this fun and meaningful event.

Free but an RSVP is encouraged.
