2013 Buddha Bathing Ceremony, Dharma Talk & Free Lunch | Sunnyvale

To celebrate the Buddha’s Birthday, the Chung Tai Zen Center will hold the annual “Bathing the Buddha” ceremony on May 12, 2013.

The event is free and will be followed by a complimentary vegetarian lunch and song and dance performance by a kids’ group.

2013 Schedule:

• 9 am: Recitation of the Sutra of Profound Kindness of Parents and Difficulties in Repaying Them (in Chinese with English transliteration and translation of the liturgy)
• 11 am: Buddha Bathing Ceremony and Dharma Talk (English and Chinese bilingual service)
• 12:30-2:30pm: Vegetarian feast and performance
• Noon to 3 pm: Buddha Bathing and Blessing Lamp Offering (Ongoing)
